Before You Call

You don’t have to explain how it got this way

Most people who call us about an overgrown yard spend the first minute apologizing for it. You don’t need to.

Yards get away from people for ordinary reasons. Someone got sick, or had surgery, or was caring for a parent. A rental sat empty between tenants. A property came through an estate and nobody local could get to it. Work got busy for six months and then it rained for three weeks straight. Somebody’s back went out. It’s Texas in August and going outside stopped being reasonable.

We’ve cleared side yards you couldn’t walk through and fence lines you couldn’t see. Nobody on our crew is thinking anything about it except how long it’ll take and where the trailer goes.

If the reason you haven’t called is that you’d rather not have someone see it — text us a photo instead. You don’t have to meet anyone at the property to get a number.

Real Work · One Arlington Property

An overgrown yard, taken back

This homeowner had let things go for a while — fence lines swallowed by vines, side yards you couldn’t get through, a shed you couldn’t reach. All four of these are the same property, same job.

How It Works

Four steps, one visit in most cases

One

Send Photos

Text a few pictures — wide shots of the worst areas. We can usually give you a real number without coming out first.

Two

Clear

Overgrown grass and weeds knocked down, brush cut back, vines pulled off fences and structures, access paths reopened.

Three

Haul

All of it goes on the trailer and leaves. No pile by the curb, no bags for you to deal with, no second phone call to arrange.

Four

Keep It That Way

Optional. Put the property on a mowing route so it never gets back to where it was. Most cleanup customers do.

Badly overgrown properties sometimes need two passes — one to knock everything down, a second once you can actually see the ground and what’s underneath. We’ll tell you upfront if yours is one of those.

Common Situations

Who calls us for this

You got a notice from the city

Code compliance letters come with a deadline. Tell us when yours is and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can hit it.

An HOA letter showed up

Same story, different letterhead. These usually need turning around fast, and we understand that.

A rental between tenants

Empty properties go feral fast in a Texas summer. We work with landlords and property managers on turnover cleanups.

An estate or inherited home

Often the family isn’t local and the property has sat. We can quote from photos and coordinate remotely.

Getting ready to sell

Curb appeal is the cheapest return in real estate. A cleared, cut yard changes the first photo and the first impression.

Health, injury, or life got in the way

The most common reason of all, and the one people are most reluctant to say. It’s fine. Call.

North Texas Specific

An overgrown yard isn’t only a cosmetic problem here

Snakes. Tall grass, brush piles, and dense ground cover are exactly what copperheads want, and Tarrant County has them. A cleared yard removes the habitat, which is the actual fix — not something you spray.

Rodents and pests. Overgrowth against a foundation or a fence line gives rats and mice cover to move around your property unseen, and a route to your structures.

Mosquitoes. They rest in shaded, humid vegetation during the day. Dense overgrowth next to the house is a mosquito reservoir, and clearing it does more than any candle.

Fence damage. Vines pulling on a wood fence will warp boards and rot posts. Every season you leave it, the eventual fence repair gets more expensive than the cleanup would have been.

Fire risk. Late-summer North Texas, dried-out overgrowth, and a burn ban is not a combination you want against your house.

Questions We Get

Yard cleanup FAQs

How much does a full yard cleanup cost?

Cleanups are priced per job rather than by a rate card, because the range is enormous — a yard that’s two months behind is a very different job from one that’s two years gone. Lot size, how dense the growth is, how much debris comes out, and access for the trailer all factor in. Text us a few photos and we can usually give you a real number without coming out.

My yard is really bad. Is it too far gone?

Almost certainly not. We’ve cleared side yards you couldn’t walk through and fence lines you couldn’t see. Badly overgrown properties sometimes need two passes — one to knock it all down, a second once the ground is visible — but “too far gone” is rare.

Do you haul everything away?

Yes, and it’s included. Grass, brush, vines, limbs, and debris go on the trailer and leave with us. You won’t be left with a pile at the curb or a separate disposal bill.

I got a code compliance notice with a deadline. Can you help?

Often yes. Tell us the deadline when you call and we’ll be straight with you about whether we can make it. If we can’t, we’d rather say so than take the job and leave you with a citation.

Can you do this without me being there?

Yes. We can quote from photos, and we don’t need you on site for the work as long as we have access. This is common for rentals, estate properties, and out-of-state owners.

How long does it take?

Most residential cleanups are a single visit. Severely overgrown properties or larger lots can run into a second day. We’ll tell you what to expect when we quote it, not after we start.

What happens after the cleanup?

Most cleanup customers put the property on a regular mowing schedule afterward, which is much cheaper than paying for another full cleanup in eighteen months. It’s optional and there’s no contract either way.

Are you insured?

Yes, Clear Tarrant is fully insured, and we’re happy to provide proof before any work begins.

What areas do you serve?

Clear Tarrant is based in Arlington, Texas, and serves Tarrant County — including Mansfield, Kennedale, Grand Prairie, Pantego, Dalworthington Gardens, and southeast Fort Worth. If you’re not sure whether you’re in range, call and we’ll tell you straight.
